He locates a school of bass at 35 to 40 feet and makes an excellent demonstration of his technique of handling the lure on the bottom. It doesn’t take long to hook the first 2 1/2-lb bass.

Watch as he works the bass up from the depths and pulls it into the boat. There are great shots of him letting the bass back into the lake with this catch and release outing. The setting is early January in a southern lake. It is cold but there is no ice on the lake like you find in the upper Midwest. It should be a good place to visit in the winter.
